Dredging work in front of berth No.27
A total of 800,000 cubic meters of materials were dredged in front of berth 27 to reach to navigational depths in accordance with requirement of Umm Qasr port navigational depths.

Basrah Mas was selected as the sole main contractor to International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) to construct three berths at their Basrah Gateway Terminal (BGT) in Umm Qasr Port.
Phase 1 of the project consisted of:
1. Quay structure of 208 m X 30 m
2. Powerhouse
3. Electrical substation
4. 11 Kv transmission line
5. Access road from Umm Qasr south port
6. Administration building
7. Water treatment plant
8. 150,000 m2 interlock paved area for storage
9. Road network and fencing
10. Firehouse
11. Workshops
12. Cathodic protection system
A total of 800,000 cubic meters of materials were dredged in front of berth 27 to reach to navigational depths in accordance with requirement of Umm Qasr port navigational depths.
Basrah Mas proceeded with the construction of Berths No. 25 and 26 with a quay structure of 300 m X 42 m and more than 250,000 m2 of stacking yards.
