Basrah Mas Company contributed to the evolution of the port sector not only by increasing the port’s capacities through the introduction of new projects, but also by assessing in developing the administrative infrastructure of the port management. One of these contributions is the building of the Marine Affairs department. The three stories steel structure building lay on the side of Shatt Al Arab. Exterior metal cladding and a pyramidal architectural form gave the exterior elegancy of the building.
Basra Mas contributed in introducing a new waiting hall for immigration procedures for all expats in Basra airport. Elegant seating, well-furnished flooring and glass partitions accommodated the contribution.
BM decided to carry on complete revamping of this entity on its own account by introducing a new building and maintaining parts of the old ones as well as introducing new electronic system.
In memory of those who been killed during the past regime era, Basrah Mas contributed to the city of Basrah this Monument inflecting its contribution to the society of Basrah.
